David M. Panton was a very able successor to Robert Govett’s pulpit at Surrey Chapel, Norwich, England. Panton was the founder and editor of Dawn magazine, a strong voice for deep scriptural and prophetical truth from 1924 until his death in 1955. Panton was well-known for his speaking and writing abilities concerning scriptural prophetical subjects. He was known as "The Prince of Prophecy.
Will all believers escape the Great Tribulation (Luke 21:36)? In this 72 page book, DM Panton (1870-1955) reconciles the 2 schools-
(1) Pre-tribulation rapture, and
(2) Post- tribulation rapture,
by expounding the Old Testament type of the harvest offered to God. The Lord Jesus taught that His work was to sow the seed of the word of the kingdom into man’s heart (Matt. 13:18-19) so that it would grow and be harvested (Mark 4:26-29). “Our general conclusion is now confirmed with astonishing clearness by the great Type designed to portray rapture. For the vital principal of all harvesting has been laid down by our Lord once for all: ‘When the fruit is ripe, immediately he putteth in the sickle (v. 29)’” [p. 25]. Setting this as a principle for multiple raptures, he teaches that the different rapture times causing debate in Revelation are all explained by the readiness or lack thereof of the believers at Christ’s coming.
